About This Role
We are looking for a skilled IT Support Engineer to join our technical team at Code Ninety in Islamabad.
You will be responsible for maintaining our IT infrastructure, providing technical support to team members,
managing network configurations, and ensuring smooth operation of all technology systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to employees for hardware and software issues
- Configure and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Manage Windows and Linux servers, including installation and maintenance
- Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues
- Implement and maintain IT security protocols and policies
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and Active Directory services
- Perform regular system backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Document IT procedures and maintain inventory of IT assets
- Collaborate with development team on infrastructure requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in IT support or system administration
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with Windows Server and Linux system administration
- Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, and user management
- Hardware troubleshooting skills for desktops, laptops, and servers
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and antivirus solutions
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience with help desk ticketing systems
