Capturing and analyzing network packets, filtering traffic by protocol and IP address, identifying malicious activity, reconstructing TCP streams, and investigating security incidents through packet-level forensics
Operating Nmap for network discovery and port scanning, using Nessus and OpenVAS for automated vulnerability assessments, interpreting scan results, prioritizing risks by CVSS scores, and recommending patches
